Contact lens prescriptions must be renewed every twelve months during your annual eye exam. We will provide you with a copy of your prescription that you can use to purchase contacts through our office or another source.

Nearsightedness (myopia) is a vision condition where one can see clearly up close while distant objects may appear blurry. Nearsightedness can be treated by using contact lenses, eyeglasses, or refractive surgery such as LASIK or SMILE.
Farsightedness (hyperopia) is a refractive error in which one can see clearly at a distance but may experience blurriness when trying to focus on nearby objects. Farsightedness can be treated by using contact lenses, eyeglasses, or refractive surgery such as LASIK or SMILE.
Presbyopia occurs as we age and the eye’s lens begins to lose its flexibility. It generally begins in one’s early forties, making it difficult to see things up close. Presbyopia can be treated through the use of monovision, correcting one eye for near and one eye for distance. This can be achieved through the use of contact lenses, eyeglasses, refractive surgery, or lens replacement surgery such as the Light Adjustable Lens procedure.
Astigmatism occurs when the eye is shaped more like a football than a sphere. As light enters the eye, images may appear distorted or blurry. Astigmatism can be treated similarly to other refractive errors – through corrective lenses or refractive surgery.

Dry eye can be treated through medication and over-the-counter eye drops, as well as lifestyle and diet changes.
Macular degeneration is an eye disease that causes changes to the macula that may blur your central vision. This condition develops over time and, if left untreated, can result in partial or full vision loss. There is no cure; however, it is important to work with your eye doctor and schedule regular checkups to preserve your vision and slow disease progression.
