Brett Dawson, O.D. is a residency-trained optometrist in primary care and ocular disease from the Memphis Veterans Administration Hospital. Prior to completing his doctor of optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry, Dr. Dawson worked at Discover Vision Centers during his time off from school. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology from the University of Kansas and completed a study abroad program at the University of Wollongong, Australia.
Dr. Brett Dawson has been an asset to the Discover Retina Team where he provides low vision rehabilitation, retina care, and the diagnosis and management of geriatric eye diseases. Dr. Dawson also handles diabetic eye care, glaucoma diagnosis and management, ocular disease, and routine/family eye care including contact lens fittings.
In his spare time, Dr. Dawson is passionate about giving back. He is a dedicated member of the iTeam, a group of optometrists, ophthalmologists and support staff who perform medical and surgical mission work in Haiti.
